I love fall, not only for the weather and color, but for the food and the fun activities. Here are some things I found while browsing online.

Chrome Pumpkins – How many cheap plastic pumpkins do YOU have? We have at least a couple. I’m looking forward to trying this!

Cinnamon Roll Waffes? Easy and looks yummy!

Pumpkin seeds – when we carve pumpkins, I usually bake the seeds. They’re so yummy and healthy!

Oreo Turkeys – I actually made something like this once with Evan when he was younger. I should try again. Mostly I remember a big mess and lots of finger-licking and candy-eating, but it was still fun.

This website has “mummy dogs” and other fun Halloween snacks.

How about some local activities? I’ve already mentioned Jonamac Orchard in Malta. Another nearby is Tanner’s in Speer, IL.
Morrison’s Halloween parade (line up at Community State Bank) is October 27th at 1:30. It’s the cheesiest parade ever where all of the kids wear their costumes and walk down the street, but it is fun to see all of the costumes. Afterwards, head north to Spring Valley Reformed Church for “trunk or treat”.
For more safe trick-or-treating, TODAY is Beggar’s Night at Heritage Canyon in Fulton.

I love this time of year, too. Those all look fun and very kid-friendly! I especially like the mummy dogs – those look hilarious!

I know, aren’t they hilarious??
I love those mummy dogs! So cute. And the cinnamon roll waffles have me drooling. This definitely is a great time a year for food.
